ok went out and bought 3 feet of steel flat that is 2 1/2 inches wide (10 bucks and its pretty sturdy). Its uncut and does not have holes in it. What were the measurements on each strip per light? Im eventually going to put in all 4 just like what you have so i might as well have the mounts ready. How did you bend it? im going to borrow some tools for the holes and lengths and start moving forward in a hurry because i want to get it done with.. the right way this time. ill start as soon as i get the measurements =] thanks

Dont do any cutting and bending yet. I'll get you the dimensions this afternoon.

A vise is best to bend the steel. But how are you going to ever going to learn anything if you don't figure it out yourself. He is not going to be able to tell you how much he bent the steel or where exactly to drill the holes.(because his lites are totally different) The first post he made says he used an existing bolt to mount the bracket. So LOOK at the damn thing and see where theres a bolt that looks like it will work with the lites you have and go from there. Geez

They don't look bad. Just use black zip ties and darker wire color. Sorry, I'm picky.

How's the light output through the grille?

I'm sure he thinks it's great, but they are too high, so the 1 3/4 " wide horizontal chrome center bar is blocking half the lite. He needs to use his head.

LOL at the black zipties! at least they are easily adjustable with the zips. LMAO

Sometimes you have to use them for a quick fix, it's all good. Just use ones that don't stick out so much.
