A call to all you Off-Road guys...
I will post some articles for you. I have been in the off-road world for a long time. It is a hobby for me, but it has taken off. I compete in off-road competitions and events all over the western US. I also am a Judge and course designer for FourWheeler Magazine and Four Wheeler TV. I judge and layout the courses for the Top Truck Challenge which is ran in the magazine and on FourWeeler TV. PM me for what kind of posts, or articles you are looking for. I would love to help out.
Thanks,
Stan

Ya, I like the idea as well... I mean for some of us, that's the only reason we have our trucks..
I would like to see/help put together a collection of information regarding lift kits and cheap ways to lift... maybe some junkyard gems

Hey Fellas,
I am looking to put in new suspension (shocks, leaf springs, coils, ect.). My truck needs some lift modifications. I want to put a BDS-suspension my self with a couple of my buddies. What do you think would be my best bet for re-doing my suspension? I am thinking 5" with 35" x12.5.

I've run 33's and 35's, and I thought my truck wheeled better with the 33's. I had a 3" suspension lift only at the time, and that was always sufficent ground clearance for what I did. The light tire made a noticable difference in the agility. If you need a lot of flex though, then the 5" lift is probably better then the 3" lift. I know a guy who runs 5" lift with 33's, and he flexes the hell out of it. I think if you didn't mind the look of the smaller tire with that much lift, that combo is a good off-road combo.
I have an eight inch lift on my shortbed single cab half ton with 37inch tires. Got the 318 in it havent found a hill I couldn't climb with it yet. But I gernaded my Limited slip in the rear now lookin for a dana 60 replacement.
So, I finally had to tear down my front diff. I had to re-bearing the carrier and pinion . While I had the diff out I decided to put a minispool in. I'm using the posi-lock system, which enables me to select, full locker or not. First, I'd like to say, off road it works great, awsome traction, and I can still turn while locked, Just need to blip the throttle!. Now I have noticed that while driving down the highway, and making a right turn, the front axle locks and unlocks, causing an unsafe condition. I pulled apart the Posi-Lock assembly and inspected my Fork. I found that it was worn quite a bit and the collar moved back and forth too much. I've ordered the replacement steel fork #100 and will be installing it ASAP. By the way has anyone done the EMS hub conversion to their dana 44?
