Has anyone tried to add an inline fuel filter to a dodge truck? I have a 98 1500, 3.9 liter V6 and I hade to take it in because the #6 cylinder had a misfire. They changed the fuel injector and it ran OK for a little while and then it started missing again. The truck doesn't have a regular fuel filter just the little screen on the fuel pump, so I figured if I put a general fuel filter in line it may solve my problem and I won't have to drop the tank and replace the fuel pump. There is what appears to be a quick disconnect for the fuel line under the drivers side. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
