2wd and 4wd rear swap out?

i got a 95 1500 4wd with 3:55 9.25 rear and found a 3:55 9.25 rear out of a 2wd same year and need to know if it will work or not?

as long as they are both 1500's, they are the same (chrysler 9.25). 2500 is different (dana 60)

to me it always look like the 4x4 had wider axles... but maybe thats just me
