i am doing my reasearch on the A-518. i found out that it is the same thing as a 727, and also alled the 46rh... isnt that trans i have in my truck. because the pictures provided of the 518. look exactly like the one i have, but i dont know what the 47rh lloks like and i dont know if it is the same thing. just differnt internals

I don't think any 1500's have the 47 series trannies in them. You should have either a 46RE or 46RH.

You have a 46RE. 518 is just a catch all for the 46re and 46rh. 618 refers to the 47RE.

Yup. 47RE/RHs (618) were found on V10 and diesel applications in the 2500s and up.
