wow wierd prpl dodge and kindschi I never would thought that they would not make that a stock part because I would be screwed turning over my 5.9 I kid u not my truck wont start if I leave it for a 48 hours in -20, I allways use 5w30 in the winter but dam s**ty buzz man hope u can add one for not to much $$$$ good luck guys
yeah i checked on mine.. def dont have one. i think maybe the dealers up north put it on as an added on accessory but they do it to every truck and car they have.. we do that at my harley shop for battery tender leads.. they arent stock but every bike on our showroom floor has the leads on..
The block heaters were added to all northern destined trucks from my understanding. I would think that should of included any northern state also.
Both my Indy and 2500 have them stock. Didnt put it back in the Indy block after it got stroked.

If you want an easy fix just get the lower Rad. hose heater it does a pretty good job. I have both the freeze plug and the rad. hose on my truck. They both work about the same. However I can't seem to find the inline heater at this time. The freeze plug was easy to install but I had the whole engine pulled at the time and they suggest it to go behind the engine mount. The kind that goes through the block drain plug and attaches to the heater hose isn't easy to install either because of the motor mount.
Its not that bad. You have plenty of clearance from the mount. I know b/c I put an in-line on my truck.
