he.ll a leaking valve cover can make it look like its leaking any where...

a little story,, this summer i had a oil leak, got under the truck and thought it was the back of the oil pan or the Rear main,, start looking a little hard and saw more oil on the side of the block, open the hood looking form the top and saw no thing,, then i grabbed the valve cover and it was lose, i tight it down, about day or two later no more oil leak.

I forgot to metion that i replace valve cover gaskets not to long ago i always keep an eye whats going on underneath the hood i just havent had time to really look good underneath the truck yet besides the bell housing is really mosit with oil i believe it is the rear main just wonder if that was a real problem on those engines or oil filter adapter i read also but that was more in 94-96 but i havent been able to find oil leak problems on a 2001 5.2 it has 97,000 miles
