Default Trucking pulling to the left. :(

Well as the title says my truck pulls to the left. New tires, so its not that, tire pressure is 40psi. The only thing I can think of is it needs an alignment, or ball joints. Any input guys? Oh another think my uncle said is maybe the auto locking hub is getting stuck on the left side? Do our trucks have auto locking hubs, or is every thing moving no matter what?

Is your truck 4 wheel drive? If it is, then the front axles and front drive shaft are always spinning, the linkage is just disengaged from the transfer case. I would take it in to a place like bell tire and ask them to check out your alignment. If something is screwed up in there, they will tell you that they cannot do your alignment unless you/they replace whatever it is. This will help pinpoint the issue and get you squared away.

[I]I think you will have to check your truck alignment. Have you check it?

There is more drag on the left side, as it is connected directly to the diff. You can pull the cover and inspect it and the fluid. But I doubt thats the prob. Check the hub bearing, make sure the caliper is sliding freely, and obviously check the rest of the steering components, ie, bj's,trac bar,tie rods, etc...

Did it do it before the new tires?

Cross rotate your front tires. If the pulling goes to the other side then it is the tires. If the pulling is still there then you need to have the alignment checked. I would hope that you had that done when you got new tires.

I just bought the truck 2 weeks ago, so it came with the new tires, and getting an alignment done is the first thing on my list of things to get done. Just want a little more input if the alignment doesn't do the trick.

Some thing else I have started hearing at slow speeds over little bumps, is a squeaking noise that I can feel in the steering wheel. I almost want to say its ball joints. If so, what am I looking toward as far as price to bring it to a show if that's the problem?

First thing on my list of things to get done is swap the front tires.
After belt buckle scrapes and grease on my fenders from an "alignment professional" my truck never goes to a shop for front end alignment. I use string, a tape measure and a torpedo level. If it pulls to the left then that side needs more caster.
