damn y'all keep talking about these rockers and i might have to get some.
I know from experience the short hose will fix the broken plastic line.

And I'm +1 about getting the 1.7's. The temptation is getting harder to resist!

That vac line is the accessory tree. The check valve in there should keep the engine from pinging but your Cruise Control, HVAC, and other vac accessories may not work right until you fix it. Slipping a vac hose over each end of the break will work great and will let it flex more the next time you have to work in the engine bay.

well, got my 1.7's installed yesterday. yes did feel some pretty good gains. but these are not as good as the gains i felt from the superchip 3815.i have only drove it about 20 miles or so. i hope after the computer gets things sorted out, they will get even better. i felt more power clear through all the rpm's.

a little thing i did was after i got the rockers on,with the coil wire off,i turned the motor over till oil started coming out of the top of the rockers. helped lub everything up before start up. i would also suggest using assembly lube cause it really helped holding those little spacers on, while setting the rockers down on for install.

took me and the brother in law about 3hrs and changed the oil too. trying mobil 1 this time. have been using royal purple. everything looked super clean inside.

now moving on to headers.gonna order my grade 8 locking bolts and remflex gaskets here in a little bit.

I didn't have a hard time with the spacers but I did think of putting some wheel bearing grease on the threads of the bolts to hold the spacers, but I wanted them to be clean so nothing screwed around with the torque spec.
