Alright i have a stock 1994 dodge ram 1500.. my neighbor wants to sell me his super swampers(believe 31's if not mistaken on 15 in rims) for cheap.. I was wondering if i should get a big suspension lift say 5 or 6 inch or get the body lift and it will work till i have enough for a 7 inch suspension lift.. also would a 3.55 gear ratio be able to withstand turning that big of tires.. any help towards this project would be nice id really liek to get these tires on my truck adn replace the dinky undersized tires on there now

The stock tires are 32's or so, so fitting a 31 shouldn't be an issue. Was that a typo?

33s are about as big as you can go without rubbing on a 4x4 1500. (And some report mild rubbing with those.) I believe that 33s are as big as you should really go with stock 3.55 gearing anyway (unless its an Off Road edition, odds are that is what you have), otherwise the transmission suffers.
