My trucks got 130K on it right now. I plan on doing a massive engine cleaning to it and trying to bring back as much original power as possible. Once i''m done with that do you guys think I would do more bad than good to my engine by putting the 3815 in it? I'm worried that I will start blowing out other parts because of the extra horses?

nope, the motor is pretty tough once you get past the design flaws... intake, heads cracking...

when I swapped over to r/t heads the cylinder walls looked awesome considering I had 150k on the clock. Never had any bottom end issues after the head swap.

note to head swappers... get a set of arp head bolts ($80 @ summit) and toss your stockers.

seen alot of people use the 3815 with more miles than you with no problems.

Cool, thanks guys. It sounds like a pretty cheap mod (I saw one on ebay for $80) compared to the gains it claims we get. I am considering doing some other stuff to it too, just no $$$ right now.

I don't know about the vin lock, but I'm sure the price will shoot up within the next three days. It is still a pretty sweet mod for the 215 on ebay too.

He says it in his post that its VIN unlocked. He had a ram with it in and he set it back to stock and traded in the truck and doesnt have any use for it now. And yes it will shoot up quite a bit in 3 days...........especially now that us Ram owners are all talking about it and looking at it
