Is there a sticker on the hood or radiator cross member with actual hand written info on it? And does the one in that pic have any hand written info that can't be seen in the pic?

His truck is a 2001, so from what I've read on here, it would not have the hand-written sticker. It would have come from the factory with the death flash. There is a thread on here somewhere that talks about the different stickers. That sticker on the pcm may not be a death flash sticker (mine isn't), but the pcm doesn't need a special death flash sticker on the 2001's, b/c they are that way from day 1...I know it's a bummer, I felt the same way.

Damn, that sucks. I didn't know that, thanks for the info. On the other hand, if his didn't come with it, odds are that since it only 68k on it, it hasn't been to the dealer for the plenum prob anyway, and he should be ok.

Btw, don't know if he has or not, but he should check the plenum.

That's the bad part...it doesn't have to go back to the dealer to get it...they started flashing them that way straight outta the gate.
