i have a 2001 dodge ram and when i turn the fan on it makes a squeal noise, is there some sort of belt or bearing that may need to be replaced or greased?

There's a bad bearing in the blower motor. It's all sealed, so you have to replace the whole motor. They shouldn't be that expensive. I've never done one on a Ram, so I have no idea what it'll take to do it.

 

Does it do it about every eight seconds or so? When I have my defrost on there is a sound(Almost like a faint car horn in the distance.) about every eight seconds. For the most part I don't hear it, but when I do it is very annoying. And is sounds like it is coming from inside the dash, not outside.
