Unhappy whistle sound

When I drive I noticed that my truck has begun to whistle/high pitched wine to the point where it hurts yr ears. Its only when i step on the gas and i dont mean floor it. As soon as i left off it stops. I have a k&n cold air intake on the truck do you think that might be my problem? and dose anyone know how wide 1500 leave springs are i want to get a lift and the kit says for 2.5" wide rear leaf spring.

rear leafs are 2.5 if you have a tape measure it ought to be pretty easy to check.

air whistle is an air leak around your air filter or intake, or possibly a vacuum line, or IAC, or TB gasket..

IAC = Idle Air Control
TB = Throttle Body

Check the little rubber tube that goes to the TB right next to the MAP sensor. Mine was cracked due to heat and I couldn't find the whistle for the longest time.

Front of Throttle Body just under air hat. You'll see a long plastic tube covered in wiring convolute going straight into it, at the end is a rubber nipple. hehe.

one other thing. have you replaced the TB gasket recently? mine was a little misaligned and it whistled a bunch from interrupting the air flow to the intake.
