Default Good deal??

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering what everyone thought of this deal I was offered seeing as I dont know much about 2nd gen rams. I was offered a 1995 Ram 2500 with the cummins, it has a trans with less than 10k on it, head work, its camed and has a turbo back exhaust and some other stuff which i cant remeber off the top of my head. It has roughly 196,000 miles on it, has had 2 owners and the guy that owns it now is a diesel mechanic. He told me he would sell it to me for $3000... is it worth it? Would be nice to have a work truck seeing as my 06 is hot-rodded n just a toy but I dont wanna spend money on something that may give me problems... Thanks for any input.

200,000 is just getting broke in for a cummins. That sounds like a helluva deal, but is it an automatic or manual. Automatic will bring the price down.....and of course you just gotta look at the whole picture. If the eng and trans are new but the rest of truck is beat to hell, well you get the picture. Sounds like a good deal to me though.
