Intake question

Default Intake question

I just bought a spare engine that i will clean up and rebuild it slowly as my budget allows.
ok my question
Is there anything wrong with welding the bottom of intake pan to the intake?

ok i just took apart the intake and i notice the center divider is not there like i see the intake mod DIY. the intake is from a 2001 engine did they remove it then?

No, that is definetly a perminent fix for sure. You will probably need to make an aluminum belly pan to do it though. Welding aluminum to aluminum is easier then welding steel to aluminum.
