Default Where the wiggler has been

Alright guys Ive been out of it trying to do this truck right. I 've pulled the motor had it balanced bored honed, had the crank ground 10 under
* put .30 over sealed pro pistons in w/ arp rod bolts
*all clevite .10 over bearings all around, with all new rings
*New cloyes racing chain
*All new sealed power rollers and pushrods
*Krc compcam 210x
*New Oil pump
*All new mopar performance gaskets
*Mopar Cap and Rotor
*Mopar 7.5 spark plugs
*All new NGK plugs
*New Motor Mounts
*Superchip
*Ported and Polish the heads
*Mopar Valve Covers
*Mopar Round filter

and maybe just maybe some rockers and probably a harmonic damper(does it need to be internally or externally balanced?)

Also about to pull the tranny b/c it went too and take it to american transmission for a rebuild new tq converter and mild shift kit

so yeah purpl i was j kidding about the twink films....

(unfortunately the motor is not finished forgot to tq the camshaft bolt so i gotta tear back into it but hear is what it looks like so far)

I would be alot further along but the guy helping bailed on me after I paid for his motor and gave him cash to help me(never trust a ford driver heh) Thus I lost 600 something bucks on this build and now I get to go to small claims whoo! Also never do business with a mr. clint kerley.

You have a nice build. Did the machine shop magnaflux and rebuild your heads as well? You might want to consider putting some heavier valve springs in there with the cam you're using.

I'm not sure what rebuild/magnaflux means? As for the springs krc said the stockers would work with this cam, but what springs would you recommend and why?

Thanks squirrels. As for the stroker no, just bored .30 over and put pistons that would accommodate the cylinder.

Magnaflux = Check for cracks.

Rebuild = New valves, seats, guides, seals.

I believe the #210 cam you have is comprable to the hughes cam I have, and hughes recommends 120 pound springs with dampers for it. The added spring pressure/performance with higher lift cams will help prevent valve float at higher RPMs.

Ah I see, yes they did magnaflux and they did do valve job on the heads as well. All the springs checked out. I just got off the phone with marty at krc he said I can run it with the stock springs but it will fall on its nose at 5500 which is fine till i can afford the springs as I rarely make it that high in rpms, mudding or city driving.

Are you running rockers as well rex?

No rollers. Just factory. For my application, it think the factory rockers are fine.

Rex,

You might free up a few ponies with rollers. The more the cam's lift, the more the benefit.

Not sure exactly how much gain there is in it, but you might give Marty Fletcher or Dave Hughes about it to pick their brains.

I agree, Squirrels, There may be a slight gain, but is it really worth the cost? I know the 1.7's work great for folks running the stock cam, but I don't think I'll gain that much running the 1.6's with a higher lift cam. However, the idea is in the que and I might have to consider it at a later date.
