-10... with -30 wind chill.. I wonder why my truck won't start!
Yeah.. I know call my stupid.. but I was going to go skiing today.. until my truck didn't start! Well... I turns over... but not starty! I think I need a new battery because it's totally weak.. meter say good charge but i think not!... Soo... I hooked up some jumper to my ranger (it started) and I also have a block heater slapped to the bottom of the oil pan... maybe I can get hurt started by noon or so! Anyone else with this problem this morning that turned your day into ****?
I've had pretty damn good luck with these trucks starting, I haven't run mine in a week, not plugged in, fired right up, -33 without the windchill (truck doesn't really care about windchill, I usually plug it in but my van stole the cord...). Sounds like you might have a problem. How old is the battery?
This morning the temp is reading -30, the intrepid well not start, the wife will miss work, no school for the brats, thought I would get a day to myself, I havent tryed my truck 01 1500 I will try it when it gets warmer -15 I think it will fire right up. I now have a pop at low torq I blame it on this cold weather.
-19 this morning and she had alittle struggle starting but she fired up after a couple seconds (remote start). Thought i was gonna actually have to walk out there and start it! :-p I would say it sounds like a bad/old battery.
