Those aftermarket control seem to be expensive buying them without a lift kit. It seems like it would be cheaper to piece a kit togehter, but it adds up once you start pricing components.

Those are the springs I have. They gave me over 3" of lift... and yes, they ride MUCH stiffer than the stockers. But hey, its a truck. I personally like it better.

All I did was put 2 add-a-leafs in the back to level it out.

For those just using coils from 2500/3500 for lift, What about stablizer bar drop brackets and track bar brackets?

Did you have to change the arms or shocks out them with 3 inches more in front and 2 in back?

I am running a completely stock front suspension setup other than the diesel springs and new shocks. It has the stock front control arms and track bar pretty much maxed out. You wouldn't want to go any higher without replacing those and the pitman arm.

As far as the sway bar and brackets, heck I took the whole thing off years ago. But I also drove with it on for years with no problems either. But to go any higher you would need lowering brackets for it to work.

so just to clarify, i can get some some two inch longer springs (new from jegs) and some heavy duty add a leafs (new from jegs) and not have to mess with any of the steering?

where would i be able to get me some of them there 2500 sprins? lol i might need the extra stiffness cause of my lack of sway bar also...

I did not have a great time with 3" coil spacers. When my truck used to be lifted, it had 3" coil spacers. I have an offroad edition, so it was about a 4.5" overall lift. The coil spacers left the truck very wobbly, especially down the highway;talk about driving with dueling white knuckles. If I ever lift my truck again, I'm doing it right. I am purchasing a coil spring that will achieve the lift I want. Of course this is more expensive, but at least it will be a structural lift. Plus, when I do my next lift, I want to make sure all of the other fellow counterparts are upgraded accordingly. My previous lift put stress on my suspension, and I really did not like that part.

This one leaves me scratching my head. My truck has the same setup and is absolutely rock solid on or off road, at (legal) highway speeds, towing, even towing over its rated GVW.
I suspect other alignment rated issues if your truck isn't handling well. The fact that you added spacers to a suspension already maxed out by the factory may have changed your caster enough to make for a squirrely ride, but that isn't the spacers fault.
