No problem there, just take your foot off the gas for a moment when you do it. It really is not neessary, but it makes life easier for the transmission.

ya, its better to turn the o/d off manually before it put a load on and kicks down automatically. i like to use it for engine braking as well

And dodgeram07 I think anyone who has had these problems or questions and found awsers from people, they are some what of a profesional on the topic
I've been told to avoid flushes because:
1) there is no real advantage of a flush over a pan drop fluid change and
2) flushes are more voilent and can knock crap loose in your tranny, causing more problems than they solve.

Just stick with pan drops every 15-25K and you'll be fine.
