Default Dash lights

So I have a 02 2500, and I am sick of the green lights... Every truck I've ever owned has had green. Does anyone sell a good kit to change the colours to red or somethin? Even a DIY that goes through how to change the colour some how would be awesome.

Swap out the incandescent bulbs for an LED of your choice. I'm assuming the cluster lights are 194 wedge-type bulbs. Good bulbs for replacing these are Wide Angle 5x LED lights available from www.superbrightleds.com They come in numerous colors. I did this mod to my camaro.

Oh ok, cool. I didn't realize that the bulb was green. I thought it was the bezel its self.

be careful removing the guage cluster. The cluster wiring harness is screwed to the dash and the cluster itself plugs onto it like a cartrige pretty simple... but the gear indicator is on a cable and i couldnt figure out how to unhook it, im just saying take care not to break the cable off by accident because that looks like a horrible job to replace

Well I'm not taking anything apart until I know exactly how it comes apart and if it is just a coloured light behind it.

The incandescent bulbs in the housing are regular clear bulbs, not green. However, when a certain color LED, for example red, is placed in the housing, the red will dominate the intended green effect. As I said above, this is a very common mod in third gen camaros. When buying, you must remember to buy the 5x WIDE ANGLE bulb. A regular straight projection LED will cause an uneven illumination. WIDE ANGLE is the key to this mod.

Do you have any pics of what it looks like when you change it to a different color?

I know someone did this on the Cummins Forum to a 3rd gen. I believe they also changed the lights in the door window/lock switches! No idea on cost and time but it was well worth it IMO.

Just remember that the ODO/Trip screen will still be green, dont think there is a way to change that.
