Default 4x4 Light

First off, Hello all i have been looking here for a while now but decided to join due to looking for a front bumper. (see below in the parts section)

What a great site...

Anyway

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 sport off road...

When i take my truck out of 4hi the 4x4 light will stay on for a while and then kind of flicker on and off and then turn off. There is no problem with the truck coming out of 4hi just the stupid light.

any ideas....

Hi and Welcome to DF. The switch is on the back side of the passenger side front axle. Clean the connector first, if that doesn't help, try replacing the switch.

I tired that one already did not work. I use to have to do that with my 96 ranger before i went to manual hubs.
