Default Power steering is growling

I think the string of days where the avg temps was -8 to -10 degrees
caused my power steering pump to begin to growl when I turn. I added about 3oz of fluid but I have the feeling it will get worse. Can I get some feedback on how the pump goes? Does it drop dead or does it work for a while before it goes. Never had pump problems before.

it will likely keep working forever, but it'll just get more and more noisy. i'd wait for warm weather, it might fix itself.... hey, you can hope.
