Default Plenum gasket kit question

I have heard talk of 2 different brands of Plenum gasket kits out there, can anyone give me the sites to look these up? Or would I be better off just going with the felpro set? Also, I am gonna change my head gaskets, is there a better brand then felpro for these? Thanks in advance

Hughes and APS Precision have the aluminum replacement plates for the plenum. They both have web sites. I would go with one of them. Nothing wrong with Felpro head gaskets.

Hughes and APS make a plenum kit.
every report from Hughes is positive. i ordered mine and got it about 3 or 4 days later.
i've heard occasional reports that APS can be slow
i think the price is the same.
get the intake bolt kit too.

Why are you going to change the head gaskets?

It's not preventative maintenance to change the head gasket, unless of course you've blown it. You're not going to stop a blowout by putting fresh head gaskets on.

Any possible chance he is talking about the intake to head gasket? If so, I would use Felpro.

No I have a small leak of antifreeze coming from the drivers side head gasket, it is just small right now, I want to change it before it goes out completely. Plus I am going through about a gallon of antifreeze each week from it leaking.

Does APS have a web site? Thanks again guys

its a sizeable job, but it doesn't require any special skills or tools other than patience, and the ability to label all your wires. however, because you have to strip off everything from the top of the motor, its a good time to consider water pump, timing chain, hoses, etc. then it just sort of grows and grows. you can do it.

i think the hardest part is getting the stupid fan off. after that you can get over inside the engine bay and get at things.
