rear end difference

Default rear end difference

I have a dana 80 rear end in my 02 2500 and i was told there was major difference from the dana 60, is there a major difference?

Yeah, the 80 is much bigger. It makes a 60 look like a 9.25.

the diesels used 60 in the front and either 70 (auto) or 80 (stick) in the rear.

And 1500 use 9.25 right? Any one got a 4.10 for me?

Yes, the 1500s use the 9.25 and ONLY the 9.25.

If you find a source of cheap 4.10 gears, let me know, as I'd be interested.

another part of the question is i was told that for a short time that dodge put a one ton axle and one ton spring in the 2500s in 2002, and i was told that with the dana 80, i had the one ton axle and springs, is this true?

yea i'm looking for a 4.10 just gears not the hole axle unless i need a new axle?

I have not heard about the whole 1 ton axles and suspension in a 3/4 ton so I cant help ya there.

But I am pretty sure that all diesels with a stick have the Dana 80, though.
