Default The difference in oils

I read a pretty good post today on oil. I really didn't realize how technical you can get about the difference between oils, but guy who wrote the article "Danny" seems to know his stuff. Plus there is a free download of the oil ratings from the American Petroleum Institute. Anyway, check it out, pretty interesting stuff... http://www.gotengines.com/blog/auto-...ppery-subject/

i see. i hate to be a smartass but generally when you take out the old thick black oil the new oil you put in is thinner and clearer because well its new. my procedure will yield the same results. anyway, let me know how well the flush works and how dirty your current oil is. the important thing is that your at least doing maintenance i see people everyday that go 13k-28k without oil changes!

yea, the really ignorant lazy people. they are the same ones that don't want a new air filter they want you to "shake out" their old one as if that's going to work.

One thing that I like to do when changing my oil, is to pour two quart of oil all the way though the motor and let it drain. Goes it clean, comes out black. Some times three if the 2nd one still comes out really black.
