Default Headunit and lights problem

So I posted this in the audio section... IDK if anyone really cares lol but here i go.

I lost all sound to every speaker one day, just all of a sudden. Checked connections ect, all secure. Figured it had to be the head unit. Went to replace it, and cut the dimmer wire, and the two AC wires to splice into the new plug. New head unit didnt work, would not turn on. So put the stock one back in, left the AC wires and dimmer wires cut, and insulated them. Now I have no cab light, my overhead MPG display keeps resetting back to 16.5 everytime i turn it off and turn it back on. Also my chip kept giving me the warning to accept turns and conditions every time I would turn the truck back on. lol So did I mention I hate electrical with a passion?
