Ill go get those tools in hopes that they may help... Do you know if condensation in the distributor cap could cause these kinds of issues as well?????? we just came by that idea by calling a friend who knows a lot about engines...
The Haynes manual has a section on how to check all of your engine sensors.

If the engine is falling down as you describe when you open the throttle, then the most likely problem is it's not getting enough fuel to keep up with the demand. To me, this would mean low fuel pressure at the rail or the PCM is not adjusting the A/F ratio because of a bad sensor.

Well the first time it died on me it wouldnt start again until I disconnected the pcm and reconnected it again...is that a bad sign? and if so which sensors would I have to look out for?

Yikes! Ummm, never disconnect the PCM without first disconnecting the battery. Good way to fry the PCM.

Like I said earlier, the TPS and MAP. And maybe the IAC and O2.

I did disconnect the battery that much I do know haha.

TPS and MAP, so how do I check those? and the 02 sensors are good, they werent replaced long ago and they sent codes then. And the IAC, these are all things I have heard of but never had the need to work on before so I dont know what they are or what to do with them...

it starts no matter what now and it even idles fine, its just when I hit the throttle hard now, if I just ease into the throttle up to high rpms it does fine, its just when I smash on the throttle the rpms just sit for a second then suddenly just drop and the truck dies.

Look in Section 6 of your Haynes manual for the MAP and TPS checkout procedures.

alright, so I just drained some fuel out at the rail on that schrader valve, and there is definitely water in the lines, even after 2 bottles of heet in the fuel tank.... I got some really bad fuel from 76....... Hopefully it doesnt take me to long to drain the entire tank and send some good fuel through it.

i had the EXACT problem from what i understand, my truck would completely die when i would put a relatively good amount of pressure on it, but if i was real soft and easy i had no problem or if i held the brake and pushed the gas to about 1100-1500 rpms and then took off id be fine, well i got some TBcleaner, and sprayed it in there real good, checked my tps connection (which it appears to possibly have been loose), and cleaned the fuel system and my truck DOESNT die at all anymore, but every so often if i mash into it with some pressure i have horribly delayed response, a couple seconds, my rpms just drop and come back up, im not sure how to fix it from here, but it did stop it from dying
