Unhappy Reverse light go out when braking

I have truoble with my reverse lights...when reversing and breaking at the same time the reverse light go out. If I let up the break, the lighs come back on. I suspect it could be a ground issue but I donīt have a clue where to start look. Does anyone have an idea of where the rear ligths are grounded? The car is a Dodge RAM 2500 -95

The first place I would start is to look at the wiring harnesses and just start following the wires to make sure they are not shorted out anywhere. When you are doing this, do your brake lights go out too?

Look through the sticky threads at the top of the forum... you'll find something called the "Merry Christmas" thread that has a link to the FSM. It has detailed schematics. It will tell you where wires are spliced, connected, grounded. You should be able to walk your way through the circuit.

Good luck,

Also, if you have a trailer plug, check out the wires for that.
