Default Left blinker blinking fast

I was driving in PA this weekend for a hockey tournament and all of a sudden my left blinker signal on the dash and the actual blinker started blinking fast, about twice as fast as normal. I didn't know what it was but one of the guys in my truck said that probably means one of my blinkers is out, and sure enough the rear driver side blinker was not blinking. Another friend had this similar situation happen to his 97 dodge, and he replaced the flasher unit in his fusebox. I'm not sure the exact problem he had though.

I was wondering what could be the problem. Is there even a flasher unit in my fusebox? All I saw was the flasher fuse. I'm assuming it could also mean the bulb itself is dead. Just wondering if anyone has the answer to this problem before I start fiddling with things. Thanks guys.

Check all the bulbs, usually when that happens a bulb is out.

Oh ok I didn't know that was it. Yeah I'll have to check the bulbs, guess I could switch the two rears and if the right one acts up that must be it.

It is the driver side tail light that is the problem.
