Just a heads up: if the machinist takes off a few thou on the block deck, have him take some off the ends of the intake or you will never get it to seal right. I can't remember if it's 1:1 ratio or not. Learned this the hard way like everything else.
Now we are getting into blue printing and balancing. If you want or care about my humble opinion, I think you are getting in way deeper than you need to, to have a nice running, dependable daily driver. Go any further and you could just buy a built motor or a stroker for that matter and not worry about this stuff. Save the dough for the stang motor. And besides, in the words of the numerous officers that stopped me when I was younger, "you going to a fire" LOL
