I'm not sure what the "HID Conversion" is about, but I have not had any issues with the stock headlights and fog lights. They don't glare onto oncoming traffic, and have had no issues to date. I bought my HIDs through "V-Leds.com". They are 6ks. I paid $300 for a low beam set and a fog light set.

That Kelvin chart should answer your questions.

This is the kind of stuff that helps folks. Thank you for sharing. No, I'm not trying to be a smart ***... just figured since I was giving you crap in the other thread, I should also thank you for a good post.

Yes they do, you just don't realize it.

Even with them aimed nearly at the ground like mine are, the headlights themselves are still extremely bright. Bright enough that if you happen to glance at it from the other side of the road one will see spots.

You got royally ripped off by the way.

Vipers right purple, viper did nothing in this thread until you try to instigate it...anyway, viper being brutally honest in this case, which i do in my posts is correct in saying 360neon got ripped off. royally. he did. If you even paid attention to this thread or the other one you would know that. Your too busy trying to start a fight with viper to even learn anything.

Yeah they probably are fairly blinding to others you just don't see it when driving. I've put HID's in my bike and in the 06 Accord and as much as I'd love to say they aren't distracting and don't produce glare to oncoming drivers they do. The Accord isn't too bad about it but it does somewhat do it. The bike is horrible about it and I get flashed all the time on the bike. The car I've never been flashed in but they are still worse than factory HID's which are already way worse than oem halogens. That being said in some vehicles and these trucks may be one of them I'm not sure although I've heard it's not it's more glare but not bad enough that it's horrible and completely blinds others. Just distracts them.

so, im thinking of going with the DDM Apexcone fullsize ballast kit, with 5000k bulbs. now should i upgrade to 55w or stick with 35w? also, can i use this stuff in my fog lamps or will it melt them? let me know if you have any better ideas, or better kits to choose.

ok, lol, i just read not to use the 55w in the fog lamps, i would like to have the same colour for both headlamps and foglamps, so i guess i should just stick with 35w

Color would be dictated by temperature, not power. So... if you get 5000K (35W) for your fog lights, get 5000K (55W) for your headlights and they would match.
