USB cable, Aux input, Head Unit
I installed a Pioneer cd stereo, am fm radio with a USB cable and a input in the front for playing your MP3
So my question whats the USB cable for? Right now I plug in my Ipod using the aux input (in-front) using a cable that has earphone male ends on both sides. Works fine. Just wondering whats the difference using the USB cable coming out from the head unit. I guess if I find my book/manual I'll can answer my own question.

USB will let you use the stereo interface to work your Ipod. You can basically plug in a computer Ipod interface cord to it and leave it in the ashtray. That's what I do.
It can also play audio media off aUSB thumb drive or any memory with a USB port. Heck, you could probably hook up a portable HDD and use that instead of an Ipod and just leave it in the truck

I had a carputer in my Ranger. I had an older laptop and a PS2 tucked behind the Drivers side pop seat, tied to a 7 inch touch screen in the dash. It was fking awesome!
Carputers FTW.
