you can find Yukon's cheaper than that. Try Performance Off Road Center in Georgia, Drive Train Specialists, or countless others.

well we use richmond. i dont have any experiance with others. but they seem to supply us with 1.87 60foot time in my small block stick camaro, and 1.80 60ft in my dads big block auto valiant. both have drag radials and trap speeds are 105 and 110. so they seem to handle the power ok for us.

Have you read any of my above posts (or others as well)? Yes, modifications will be needed. I explained some of them in at least two of my above posts.

Dana 70's were only offered in 3/4 and 1 ton trucks, as well as the dana 60's.

ok i tried doing a search but couldnt come up with much. you said the leaf spring pads are bigger and the drive shaft wont bolt up. what does this entail? is this easily overcome or is there fab work that needs to be done? are there adapters or kits sold somewhere to make this work? the only reason i am pursuing the axle swap so much is i found a rear axle off a 2500 with 4.10 gears at a salvage yard here for $125
