lets think about that for a minute.... What does a fire department have a need to dive for? I have never heard of water proof fire..... hmmm

FD does rescue/recovery on the various lakes and resevoirs in the area if someone falls through the ice or drowns etc. 2 days off and the dodge is great for gearing up, 4wd for the snow getting to the dive site etc.

Sweet Sounds like fun. I'm glad we dont have much water around here that we have to worry about water rescues. We had one last year or the year before during the winter water wasn't frozen but was damn cold. Guy lived but was in really bad shape. i haven't heard if he got better or passed away. They didn't expect for him to make it

we've had to deal with a couple water rescues around the area, 3 teenagers drowned/froze in a local lake. But we generaly dont have any problems with ice rescues.

How stupid can you be to walk on a lake? I dont care how thick the ice (it shouldnt be that thick in the U.S) is, WTF are you thinkin??
