What I told the wife about why we needed a pick up truck. 1) To haul firewood. 2) Those frequent trips to the dump and haul pine needles to recycling.

The real reason for the truck was for diving. The tail gate is just teh right height to slide into and out of dive gear. People I dive with are constantly asking if they can use my tail gate. The bed is great for getting into and out of wet suits or dry suit with out dealing with sand and or dirt.

So goto your local dive shop and see if they offer a discover scuba class. you might enjoy it!

Sorry, I forgot that the lake I live near is frozen. But i'm not still not stupid enough to walk on it.

Well the lake that the kids died in wasnt frozen, but it was extremely cold out, and therfore they were bundled up, which when they hit the water, weighed them down. And i dont believe they had life jackets on either.
