rough country lift kit
Any of you guys had any experience with a rough country lift kit? I want to lift my truck but I don't have alot of funds right now. wanted some more info on them. also what do you guys think 3" or 5" either way I go eventually I want to add a body lift to it so yea any comments or suggestions are appreciated
I put one on a ford ranger... 4 inch
alot of the bolt holes didn't line up perfectly..
It was okay.. i would have been mad if i didn't have a plasma cutter.. you could get by with a round file or a number of other things.. I don't like torching suspension parts, cuz the heat ruins the temper of the metal, if It had been

here's a pic of my 2000 with the 5.5 inch rough country lift
I haven't had any problems with it and it was easy to install too. The only thing that was a pain in the *** was the trac bar relocation, other than that it all went in perfectly. The rough country lift comes with the 4 inch or so blocks for the rear....i did a shackle flip and have the blocks laying around haha but the blocks work just as well

thats the 5.5 inch lift with 35" tires i think its tall enough
Another thing, if you're serious about offroading stay AWAY from body lifts...those lifts are only for looks and can make your truck unstable when you're really doing some offroading,
I was with a friend of mine in his f150 with a 3 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift and we went down a hill that went right back up again at the bottom and snapped several of the bolts holding the body lift and his body slid off his truck....unsafe...
