I know I have the deathflash because the computer was reflashed a year ago by the dealer. It may take a while for it to pay itself back... but if gas jumps this summer, it will make the process even quicker, and even more worthwhile. Which settings are you using lastrights?

You can get the Mileage XS tuner and pay an "upgrade fee" to Superchips later to basically make it a Flashpaq 3815, if you want to go that route. I just went straight away for the 3815, and have the Mileage XS tune if I ever want to try it out. I am currently happy with my performance tune, however.

I bought a truck, don't really care so much about MPGs.

I lost MPG's since I put the SC in. 15 highway to 13.5. The problem with that figure is not only is the gas different because of winter, but I also install the 1.7's, put the 14x3 back on and relocated the IAT into it, and installed 3923 plugs. So it could be one, some or all of those things that contributed to that figure. I have no pinging using 87 octane on the performance setting, so I have never tried the 87 tune. And I never tried the 87 tune on the Hypertech PP3 either.

See I read about the Mileage XS tuner, but... when I went to find it on their site I saw it for the diesels and the hemi. Hmm... don't know. Anyway yeah you buy a truck to be used as a truck.. but since its going to be on the highway basically empty, i mise well save what I can. Then switch to power on a weekend here or there lol.

Well, I still have the Hypertech PP III if you want to buy it. LOL Best thing is that it does tire size too.

Oh wow, they don't make the XS for 5.9 and 5.2 gassers, you're right. I could have swore they did at one time! Sorry pcfixer.

Basically restate that I'd recommend the 3815. I'm going to use it until (if) I start doing major modifications, when I'll be looking to sell it and get the SCT.

I saw Summit that the prices of the 3815 have dropped recently.

Here's one brand new on eBay, for example...

I will never be able to afford the sct tune, let alone have the mods to warrent it. But yeah so I looked around and I thought I read they did as well... so I did a search and came up with the "3516" (type in summit). Depends where you look whether our trucks are listed on it or not.
