That's for cruise control models only right?

I'm fairly certain it was the air vents I know if you check around this forum you'll find the answer. Either way, it is a vacuum line issue.

I think the lines for the cruise and the lines for the vent controls t-off from the same place from what I've seen under my hood so far...

I hunted around town and found a generic vac check valve that works with a couple of adapters to make it fit. Dodge had to order a whole harness for that area and I would have had to wait for a few days to get it. It was about $16 to go that route, so not too pricey, but all I needed was the valve. Spent 5 bucks for it at O'rileys.

Here's some pics of the little valve and where it's at. Probably no bigger around than a nickel.

A close up...

What it looks like out...

Here's what the replacement looks like with my little adaptor riggin...

So, that's how far I've gotten. I'm going to take it out and drive it around awhile, try the vents & the cruise and all that, & I'll let you guys know what happens.

Yep, go somethin' else goin' on cuz we just took it out for a spin awhile ago and the symptoms persist despite the new valve. It works just fine around town but once you get up to highway speeds and start hitting hills she starts doing the same again.

+1, and that would be the vac line for the cruise control.
