Thanks again for the diagram. Turns out my truck does have the OR/WT wire coming off of connector 3 at the PCM and when I spliced that and tapped it to ground it did turn off the O/D. Tap it again to ground and it went back off. I knew the service guys at dodge were full of it. This just goes to show you that dodge isn't going to go through the trouble of making a hand full of truck totally different from the others. the trans, PCM and harness was the same as every other truck out there. Mine just didn't have the switch installed in it.

 

Mine is on the end of the shifter, not on the dash. Not sure if '98's are the same or not.
