Wow, somehow I cracked this transmission brace

Default Wow, somehow I cracked this transmission brace

Jeez.. I was hearing a noise.. tapping/pinging sound and look what it ended up being...

This is one of the 2 braces that go between the transmission and bottom of the engine. I loosened the bolt so you could see the cracked spot...

anyone know where to find one of these? its obviously important if it had enough stress on it to crack

You could go to a dealer and see how much one is.

Also. What is the P/N for that Motorcraft filter? That thing is HUGE!! If you could that would be awesome!

that filter is a ford motorcraft fl1a, its the same size as a fram ph8a --- just frams suck

the ford filter can be had for under $4 @ wal*mart

Haha.. you like that? I sat down in the parts store opening all of them up on the floor.. they were all evil eying me... i found out that it fits a FL-1A Motocraft Standard filter

Ya, its like 2 inches longer and slightly wider.. same o-ring, same thread pattern..

Im gonna start a thread about this.. I forgot I had done that

Thanks. I'm going to cross refrence the Frap filter in K&N. My Walmart doesn't carry Motorcraft filters.

its the same oil filter i run on my toyota 22r that is supposed to have a filter like 1/3 its size
