Default K&N or AEM?

I have a 1500 with the 5.9l.
Anybody know which intake system would be better? Aem or K&N?
They're pretty close to the same price I think.

Neither. Do a search. Most people prefer the round air filter setup.

Personally, I am not a fan of the K&N, AEM, or the round air filter set-up. The K&N takes up much too much engine space, and is hardly effective. The AEM has an open styled filter. And the round air intake sits right on top of the engine, exposed to contaminants, and hot air. Some really like it, but I did not care for it. If the volant didn't exist, I'd just keep my stock airbox set-up, which draws air from the outside.

The volant intake capitalizes on the original good set-up of the stock airbox by still drawing air from the fender. Then, when you want, you can add their "air scoop" that draws additional air from the grille of the truck. The Volant goes for about the same as its competitors. I purchased mine from Autoanything.com. Check it out.

If you are talking about air filters, AEM Dryflow hands down is the best air filter.

Hmm. Alright. I heard that the stock set up was pretty good. But I didn't know for sure.
This is my first Dodge so I don't know much about them. I'll check out that air scoop thing too.

i used to have a stock set up with a K & N drop in filter, and switched to an all out AEM bruteforce intake, and honestly, there was no difference to me

I'm not trying to be a dick, but FRAM anything kinda sucks. I won't use any of their filters.
My opinion is that K&N is hands down the best air filter you can buy. I've always run K&N and
I plan to keep it that way. I use them in my vehicles and my motorcycle.
