im pissed again, my truck died twice tonight with the same problem, delayed throttle and dies when i hit the gas wtf could the problem be? i gotta new tps, cleaned the tb, added fuel line cleaner and all that...... ideas?

 

How is your battery? Does this happen while going down the road, or when you first start the truck?
I had the same problem when my battery was crapping out on me I would start it and it would die, or it would idle and die when I opened the throttle.
I changed the battery and it was fixed.

 

well i have an optima red top thats almost brand new and the volt gauge shows plenty of volatage so its most likely not the battery, it starts fine, idles fine and all that and for the first few minutes there is absolutely no problem, but then in 1,000 rpms or lower after i let off the throttle and put my foot back on it starts to do a horrible dip down and fights back to life, then after a couple of those, it dies when i touch the throttle, mainly when i stop at a light (which is always fun)...i have to hold in the brake and rev a little and let off the brake just to get home..

 

sounds like a vacuum leak. as a quick test, if you can disconnect most or all vac lines at the manifold and plug them, and see if it still does it. if not, then add them back one at a time until you get them problem again.

with a vac leak, usually you can stomp the gas and keep it running, but if you try to ease into it it will die.

 

when was your last tune up???
