Default Junk Yard Gems

Hey guys,

I was thinking it would be really helpful to make a thread that contained a list of parts that you should look for in a junkyard. upgrades that fit our trucks.

I know that some people have found axle upgrades and a number of things of that nature.

spread the knowledge so it isn't lost

Here's a list of things that I have found are either hard to find, good to have as a spare or for modifying/upgrading, or easy to sell on forums or ebay:

TB
intake manifold
heads
IAT sensor
MAP sensor
PCM
battery trays out of diesel trucks
factory transfer case skid plate
factory tow hooks and brackets
factory fog lights and brackets
steering box
transfer case
transmission
axles
coil springs, escpecially from v10 or diesel trucks
cup holder '99 and newer
underseat storage from SLT's
heated mirrors
a-pillar speakers
overhead consoles

Diesels came with two batterys. If you want to run dual battery on a 1500, getting your hands on the tray and the connections makes it super easy.
