Not anymore just hit some lady 1,300.00 for her rear bumper and my driving and fog light got fed up so I need a new front bumper (anyone got one).

I didn't notice too much of a difference sound wise. I do notice the exhaust to "pulse" a bit more. I also did seem to gain a little low end too as I can climb hills better that I could before. But like I said sound wise... it didn't seem to make a big noticable difference.
Shorties vs long...I never did get a clear answer to which and why. But it seems shorties be A LOT easier to put on to the stock exhaust! So I think I will go with shorties.
Ok stupid question of the night...err morning for some...what about buying some shorties and powder coating them? They will just burn off as quick then? I want to change them for the same reason as the poster...eye sore!

Shorties are a much easier install and in some cases direct fit. Long tubes are generally intended for higher modification levels and will breathe better than a shortie. There can be fit issues, clearance issues and interior heat issues with long tubes. You can get similar dia. in both shortie & long tube. Pacesetter has 1 5/8 as well as 1 3/4" available for our trucks (Ive got their 1 3/4"). Most shorties are 1 5/8" (my Edelbrock TES are 1 5/8-removed)
Standard powders once cured are good to about 250* max. You can only use hi heat powder on headers. They are good to 1200* peak, 1000* sustained temps. Available in grey, ss grey, silver, satin black and chemlon blue.

Does anyone know of anywhere I can buy a set of good headers then for a good price?? A set that wont leak or rust up on me, I really dont want to have to deal with the powdercoating company again for a while at least, and rmindy, you said you have a set of edelbrocks removed?? did I understand that correctly? If I did, are you keeping those, or were you planning on selling them, or what???
i have the pacesetter shorty headers. they are relatively easy to install, cheap and do their job. Althought tightening the bolts in the back of the driver's side is difficult because of break booster and there is a possibility of breaking off a manifold bolt in the head. however the paint did peel off in like 15 minutes. i recoated them with header paint and they have been good ever since. so if your looking for cheap headers and a quick install go for the pacesetter shorties. although, if i could do it again i would just buy the long tube headers because i love the sound of them.
