Stroker
So, I kinda had this idea that i really want to work my way towards a stroker in my truck... but I really dont know how to go about doing that... anyone with any experience, any good advice, any easy ways(and potentially somewhat less lightening on my wallet) would be very much appreciated, I am going to buy the new hughes/eddy intake soon, real soon hopefully depending on how large my next few paychecks are... any help is appreciated!! thanks!!
your 318 would stroke to a 390. I dont think its the kind of thing you can work up to. the crank pistons and rods all work together. Krc makes a couple kits.

I think what I mean by work up to it, is I want to get things that will be compatible with it so that it is an effective stroker and puts out a fair amount of power
I want to be able to take all of the ricers off the line, not just the occasional honda automatic with just a muffler haha.

You can't get the bore as big on a 318 as you can on the 360.Also the rods are longer on the strike motor. You have to have medal removed where the rods are so it can rotate. Also the ports are smaller on the 318. This part of it. Not sure if I worded it all right.
I'm also going to put a 408 in my truck with help from guys in here. There are some very helpful guys on the this forum

Dude 408's are mean as hell. I watch 408 rams on youtube and feel the need to jerk off lol. I have a spare engine and plan to make that into a 408 also. Then I gotta get a Fastman TB, Injectors, PCM, and all kinds of crazy ****.
Anyways I would go with a 408 if you want a stroker, they're pretty reasonable and 500 horsepower is fairly easy to reach with the right injectors, pcm and throttle body.
