New HEMI
Well guys had a chance to pit my 99 Sport 5.9 against a 2004 Std Cab 5.7 Hemi yesterday and I really dont see what the hype is....sure Hemi was the talk of the town in the 1960's but at the 440 level. Half mile he was at my rear bumper the whole way, so I will give it more credit than I would say a "Triton 5.4". I wouldnt count the 360 outta this game yet, Hemispheric chambers are nice but just like a Harley, they have to be tweaked for full potential. But my next truck will be one cause I definately like the thrust...............

i work witha guy who had a 2001 1500 5.9 and just got a a new 1500 hemi about 2 months ago. He pulls a pretty big boat and said he noticed a nice difference there. but he said if he's not towing anything theres not that much more power. the Hemi is a sweet motor, but dodge just slapped the name on there to get middle aged men all riled up. It's a good sales pitch. Thats why all these car companies are bringing back all the retro styles, and retro names. The main consumers buying brand new vehicles right now are people in thy're late thirties to late fortys.
