Default Radio Won't Play After Cleaning Battery Terminals

Help!

1999 Dodge Ram Extended Cab

I disconnected the battery terminals to clean them and the radio will not power up or play now.

The clock works and I can set it. The CD players ejects and loads a CD; however, neither the radio or the CD player will play.

There are no lights on in the center of the equalizer buttons but the lights do work everywhere else on the radio/clock/CD player.

Thanks for your help!

Fred

I wonder if it blew something inside the radio.

When you just have the radio on, can you tune in and lock into one radio station or does it just scan the channels (seeking all the channels)?

sounds like you are getting a constant 12v to the radio without a doubt. does the screen illuminate when you turn the key on? does the clock display whether the key is on or off?

The lights on the equalizers on the stock units are alittle touchy, my lights used to go in and out on the equalizer. Check all the fuses, make sure that ground wire is tight on your battery. Is your system the stock infinity one? Until you give us alittle more info thats about all i got right now for ya.
