You need to plug up the pcv and the intake where it connects to also you know.

Thank you. As suggested I plugged the PCV opening in the valve cover and plugged the nipple coming from the intake manifold, then rechecked as described before. Same results no vacuum from either the breather port in the valve cover or the dipstick tube when the breather is plugged.

I'm stumped then. We need the big Dodge brains on this one.

Hope you get it figured out. I'll be watching this thread for the results.

Same here ~ No oil in plenum, no vacuum at valve cover or dipstick tube. I gave up and took it to a garage today. #2 injector is bad ~ cost $220.00 ~ lock, stock and barrel.

Ok wow ... bad #2 injector with no code. I would have thought it would have thrown a P0302 into memory for the #2 misfire. Good job on getting it sorted out though!

I've stethoscoped all my injectors and they sound fine nice click can be heard from each and they all increase in speed as the engine is revved up. I'm still searching for my gremlin before kicking out $200.00 for a mechanic. I have time what I don't have is patience for things that don't run right. I'm a walking oxymoron.

Thanks for the input.

Q,

I did get codes ~ 27 and 37 ~ 27 was the misfire, but I tried ignition (wires, cap, etc.) and 37 has something to do with the lockup converter.

Just for fun take off the Valve cover on the side of misfires. Dont follow Haynes book you dont need to drain the radiator just move the hoses over.

There are tons of cases of rocker arms falling off. I have a 4.7 with 180K, search on my posts you will see there are lots of Dodge folks out there with similar situations.

It's a possibility.

You know I've never pulled the valve covers, but I'm thinking my rocker arms have a bolt through them so them coming off might be a bigger issue with a lot more noise than I'm hearing.

I could be wrong ... anyone else think I should pull the valve covers?
