I will be calculating a grill guard out of pipe next time I have it on the truck. I am going to
coat it with Hurculiner. Picked up a spray gun to do it with, plan on doing the rockers at the
same time.

The old one is banged up from my accident. I'm not sure if I'm going to scrap it to hang onto
it.

 

Yeah, sounds like you got it under control! I used an etching primer on mine and then used the NAPA brand stuff. I ended up rolling mine on, but if I would have had the time or the shop I woulda just sprayed it. But it turned out really good. The only bad part is cleaning it. To get it to look like bran new, I pretty much have to spend about 45min hand scrubbing the dang thing. But no scratches makes up for it. Make sure to put up some pics when you get the grill guard on it! Maybe a couple with measurements if it aint too much trouble! What kind of brackets are you using? With mine I ended up just using the stock mounts. Any pics? And yeah, one day I'll get around to getting my bed and rockers done too! Hope it all goes good for you!
